The Canadian singer-songwriter surprises fans with ‘Dedicated Side B’
Carly Rae Jepsen has just released Dedicated Side B, the long rumored follow-up to her 2019 album, Dedicated. The announcement arrived via her social media profiles with a teaser and a caption: “New tunes for your blues. If this helps in any small way – I’m relieved. Sending you all my love and sharing dis damn side B I’ve been storing in my cheeks.”
Dedicated Side B is a collection of 12 outtakes from the original album: the record features contributions from Bleachers, Dev Hynes, Ariel Rechtshaid, John Hill and more. The inspiration for the songs comes from 80s pop, with some influences from 70s disco. Jepsen shared the full tracklist on YouTube, including a lyric video for the song This Love Isn’t Crazy.
The Canadian singer-songwriter is not new to B-Sides: her 2015 album, E•MO•TION, had a follow-up one year after its release.
