Short recap of her best outfits
Cannes Film Festival is over: Ruben Östlund’s film, The Square, won the Palme d’Or, Diane Kruger won the Best Actress award, for her performance in the film In The Fade, but all our eyes were on Nicole Kidman.
The austrialian actress had two films running for the Palme d’Or: The Killing of a Sacred Deer by greek director Yorgos Lanthimos and The Beguiled, by Sofia Coppola. She also starred in How to Talk to Girls at Parties (out of competition) and in the TV series Top of the Lake.
Nicole was praised for her performances, she won the 70th Edition Prize and she stunned the audience with her incredible outfits. So, if every festival has a queen, Nicole Kidman was the queen of Cannes 2017 for sure.
From head to toe, the australian actress won our hearts with wonderful dresses, gourgeous hairstyles and chic make up (by UK guru Lisa Eldridge, by the way).
For those who missed the french film event, here are 3 of my favourite outfits Nicole wore on the red carpet.
First Dress (from left to right)
On Monday 22, Nicole wore a Dior Haute Couture dress, during the daytime photocall of the The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The color mix was perfection: an emerald green and bronze dress, with navy and pink embroideries for a “forest fairy” effect. Make up: rosy and essential.
Second Dress
At the evening premiere of the same film, Nicole wore a Calvin Klein by Appointment dress, featuring a black satin bustier and a white tulle skirt. The make up was simple, but glam: a flaming red lip and classic “cat eye”. The australian actress looked like a beautiful, classy-dark ballerina.
Third Dress
Last but not least, Nicole ruled the red carpet once again during the morning photocall of The Beguiled, on May 24: she wore an Alexander McQueen halter pink dress. The studded belt and the black heels were the rock details which made the difference. The make up matched the romantic style of the dress, with a simple hint of rose on cheeks and lips.
