‘Better Call Saul’ season 6 will be the last

Co-creator, Peter Gould, says we’re going to see Breaking Bad in a very different light

Better Call Saul is set to end with season 6 and it will change the way we see Breaking Bad forever. This is what its co-creator, Peter Gould, said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The successful prequel/spin-off to Breaking Bad follows ex-con turned lawyer Jimmy McGill, played by Bob Odenkirk, as he becomes Saul Goodman, a law-artist with very questionable ethics.

According to Gould, by the time we finish to watch the show, we’re going to see things in a different light: « I think  we’re going to learn thing about the characters in Breaking Bad we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the events in Breaking Bad we didn’t know.» He added: «We’re going to learn things about the fates of a lot of these characters that may surprise people or certainly throw them into a different light.»

The final season of Better Call Saul was scheduled to air in 2021 but, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, production has been delayed, with the new episodes set to start shooting next year.

Recently, actor Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White in Breaking Bad, said he would reprise his role in the final season of the show, if given the chance. Creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould haven’t confirmed his presence yet, but fans hope to hear good news over the next months.
